Don't get me wrong, Italy has had some excellent pizza. But if we're being honest, it's just not surprising. It's good, high quality pizza, but it's not changing my perspective on life. I think this is becase we have such great access to pizza in Toronto, that I'm not mind-blown by the Italian stuff. Maybe I also just consider pizza a tier lower on the food pyramid. I want to eat it. But I don't need it to be excellent. Sometimes, I want it to be trash.
Now that we're in the last leg, we're navigating menus as such:
Pizza < Panini < Pasta.
