Toy Stores are still Great
In case you're wondering, a visit to an iconic toy store - like that of Lego - is still exceptional, even in the well established age of Amazon.
We've started talking more about Christmas and Santa with Nora, and there's a few messages she's starting to lock in:
- We write Santa a letter. In early drafts, she's more concerned of what Santa wants for Christmas (cookies, carrots, presents), which is sweet and unlikely to last much longer.
- Santa wants her to sit on his lap. She has instead insisted that high fives is as far as her contact with the bearded toy man will go. I respect this.
- Santa wants to leave presents under our tree. She has requested that I meet Santa outside on the porch, and bring the presents in. This early awareness of home security will do her well.
