Tiny Archeologists
Jo loves history. Explaining to a toddler how to appreciate a series of ancient sarcophagi is not easy. The natural inclination would be to avoid this kind of activity. It's too difficult with the little ones. They won't appreciate it. But a big part of our evolving parenting philosophy is to raise kids around the things we enjoy. So we went to Split archeology museum.
Jo's tactics were simple, let's turn the museum into a big game of I Spy. Nora was hunting through relic after ruin looking for a baby, a dog, a horse, grapes. She loved it. Did we get to fully take in the history? No. But, she at least got to interact with something Jo holds dear.
