The Two Hour Lunch

We've discovered a new love - long lunches. They work best when one child is asleep and the other is secured into a high chair. Here's how it plays out:

  1. Find a table with lots of people watching potential.
  2. Order a glass of wine (maybe a cava or a white).
  3. Slowly explore the menu.
  4. Order some small bites.
  5. Eat those small bites and order more wine.
  6. Engage the server in what else we should eat. Order that.
  7. Eat that. Maybe more wine?
  8. Dessert? Nah, either more wine or skip ahead.
  9. Coffee. Coffee makes any meal lighter and anyone sober-er.
