So long Lisbon
This evening we're off to Valencia, Spain for our longest trip yet (30 days). This wasn't our first time in Lisbon, and it won't be our last. Here's a quick pros and cons for any other young parents:
Pros
- Everyone loves kids. We get seated first, skip lines, and people stop to talk to the kids incessently.
- The food is very approachable. Sure, you can go knee deep in sardines and olives, but with staples like chicken, potato and cod, there's bound to be something your little will eat.
- The wine. It's on tap. It's in bottle. They'll serve it in buckets, carafes, direct into your mouth. And it's all great. For no money. It's practically free.
Cons
- Hills. The hills suck. The stroller becomes absolute. You will be carrying kids in wraps or on shoulders. And it's the steepest hills you've ever walked. And they're limestone cobbled, so they're slippery.
- That's it. It's just the hills. But they really suck.
