Pasta Class

Pasta Class

Easily a top three activity on this trip was learning to make pasta with a local in her apartment by the Vatican. Put aside how much I learnt about the simply art of delicate noodles. Nora was a champion.

The woman warned us that she doesn't work with kids under 6. Don't worry, we assured, our daughter is excellent. It was a bit of a bet. Would she take to the class, or would this be an embarrassing disaster?

Not only was Nora enthralled by the process of making silky fettuccine, but she insisted on taking part in every aspect of the journey. Whether it was rolling the dough, or cranking the press, or cooking the sauce, she was attached to the teacher who was in love with her curious questions and hard work.

We could not have been more impressed by our three year old. And yes, I did order a pasta press before we left Rome.
