Nora-isms
As we enter our last week in Valencia, it's worth reflecting on how much Nora has grown on this trip. Some key highlights:
- Making plans. With enough time around Jo, it's no surprise that Nora revels in a multi-step plan. What's next? What's the plan? She needs to have the full picture and she's more than happy to rewrite it.
- Being a sister. From the first time they met, Nora has been an unselfish and kind big sister. On this trip, Nora has levelled up as a sister, offering to watch Maeve when we have tasks, trying to create games for them to play, and hunting for Maeve as soon as she wakes up from a nap. I'm excited to see Nora take such an active role, and hopeful it remains.
- Imagination. The big leap has been her imagination turning up to hyperdrive. If you give her some space and a few props, Nora can spend hours in her head, talking quietly to herself as she takes control of her make-believe world. More recently, you need to be careful where you sit, as there could be imaginary friends anywhere.
For what it's worth, mascots still scare her. Which is fair.
