Lovely Lullymore

Lovely Lullymore

After we left Malahide, we dotted out of Dublin county and into Kildare proper. Stopped at a lovely coffee shop in Maynooth called the ELY Wine Store (don't read into that, it was too early). Then we made our way west to the peatlands, to visit Lullymore Heritage Park. Absolute delight of a visit:

  1. Historically accurate cottages with little lessons on how life would've been;
  2. An elaborate faerie garden, with a tiny chirping faerie giggle on loop just quiet enough to make you questions yourself;
  3. A wild outdoor playground beside an petting zoo (goat-heavy, not a bad thing);
  4. Quaint train ride through the property on a little antique tooter; and
  5. An even wilder INDOOR playground that would have cost $20/kid admission in the city (incl. ball pit).

After 4 hours of fun, we made our south to Kilkea where we'll spend the night. Already some great stories from this evening, but I'll sum them up next.

PS I cracked the code on my kids. The answer: a cheap digital camera. I'll circle back to this tomorrow.
