Excitement & Recos

We're practically done packing now. Give Jo a podcast and a few hours without babies hanging off of her and it's wild what she can accomplish. The suitcases (all three of them) are heavier than maybe we expected.

It's cool to see how many people have ideas for us in Europe. People I haven't heard from in years are sending me great cafés for Rome, or ideas for kids in Spain. We've probably done less planning for this adventure than some of our 3 days weekends, but that's part of what's different. There isn't a rush. I feel like all the pressure to be effective is gone.

By tomorrow night, the house will be empty-ish (our renters were happy to use our furniture) and we'll be off to the airport soon after. The pre-trip jitters are starting, but that's a good feeling.
