Being Present

Whether it's the pinging of notifications, the rushing of appointments or the brain fog of work thought, I can't think of the last time I've focused on one thing for a long period of time. The girls are growing - and fast. To get to do nothing, but see our adventure through their lens is really a gift.

Three months is a long time too. Nora's getting more strong willed by the hour, and Maeve is adament on figuring out independent movement. When you're in the basement on a computer screen you can miss some of these key moments. For the next 100 days, there's no chance of that.

I expect it's going to be challenging though. Not planning the next city. Not falling into conversations about work. Not scrolling through apps while waiting for a pick up order to be made. But most hard things get easier with practice.
